Ohio Valley BPW begins its new year

STEUBENVILLE — The Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club met Sept. 16 at the Laurels of Steubenville for the group’s first meeting of the new club year. President Dee Kovach called the meeting to order, then led in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and club collect.
Following dinner, members participated in a speed networking activity, where each member rotated throughout tables, spending two minutes with one another and learning more about them.
Kovach presented Lorraine Linton with a lifetime membership. Linton joined the BPW in 1991.
The mission of the Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club is to provide professional and personal growth opportunities and promote equity for women in the workplace. Membership is open to any working or retired woman.
The club’s next meeting will be held Oct. 21 at Undo’s restaurant in Weirton.
