SHS to perform fall production this weekend

UPCOMING PERFORMANCE — The curtains will rise for Steubenville High School’s fall production of Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” with performances set for Saturday and Sunday. STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville High School Thespians will bring Roald Dahl’s classic fantasy tale to the stage this weekend with the fall production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
Performances are set for 7 p.m. Saturday and two shows set for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday inside the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students.
This marks the first time for the musical production at SHS. The re-imagined story follows the journey of Charlie Bucket as he wins a golden ticket to tour a fascinating confectionery facility owned by the eccentric Willy Wonka.
The performance will feature popular tunes such as “Candy Man,” “Pure Imagination” and “It Must Be Believed to Be Seen.”
Leading the cast is Gavin Pratt, a seventh-grader at Harding Middle School, who will portray the character Charlie.
The cast includes: Andrew Brown as Willy Wonka, Michael Lancia as Grandpa Joe, Morgan Goff as Grandma Josephine and Act 2 ensemble, Kylie Davis as Grandma Georgina and Act 2 ensemble, Kyle Colodonato as Grandpa Charlie and Act 2 ensemble, Stella Schiappa as Mrs. Bucket and Act 2 ensemble, Matthew Miller as Augustus Gloop, Emma Burr as Mrs. Gloop, Aideen Shaw as Veruca Salt, Anthony Pearce as Mr. Salt, Laila Reed as Violet Beauregarde, Easton Sheeler as Mr. Beauregarde, Mia Loy as Mrs. Teevee, Anna Rivers as Mike Teevee, Julia Gentile as Jerry Jubilee and Act 2 ensemble, July Dettorre as Cherry Sundae and Act 2 ensemble, Zelie McGovern as Mrs. Green and Act 2 ensemble, Eli Jankowski as ensemble and Hoffa, Anthony Biasi as ensemble and Mr. Bucket and Isabella Fletcher, Caleigha Birden, Sarah Sullivan and Adelyn Johnson in the ensemble.
