Officers with the American Legion Argonne Post 33 in Steubenville made a $4,000 donation to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday. Those on hand for the check presentation included, from left, First Vice President Terry Channel, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Clerk Stacy Yanda, Post 33 Commander Joe Rockey, Trustee Kenny Walter, Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla Jr., Deputy Clerk Kim Kelley and Service Officer Joe Holliday. The money will be used toward the veterans’ breakfasts held at the sheriff’s department each month, along with the department’s annual toy drive and for various equipment needs for the canine division, according to Abdalla.
