Sycamore Corps helps donors

Members of the Sycamore Corps helped officials with the American Red Cross during its recent blood drive held at Steubenville High School. Student volunteers assisted donors through each station while they went through the process of donating blood. Erin McCarthy, a 17-year-old Corps member, donated blood for the first time during the drive. McCarthy stated, “I have been waiting a long time to be a blood donor. I wanted to know what it feels like to be able to help up to three people by donating blood. I had an opportunity to give this time because of my age, so I made sure to do it.” Those taking part in the drive included, from left, front, Lillie Yeager, Jade Danielson, James Floyd, Jackson Yeager, Aleacia Elder and Rasheed Floyd; and back, McCarthy, Kayden Yeager, Sean McCarthy and Lexi Tatum.
