Funseekers hear of upcoming trip
WEIRTON — Members of the Funseeker’s Club gathered at Undo’s restaurant in Weirton for their August meeting.
The 45 members in attendance were welcomed by President Cathy DiBenedetto, who called the meeting to order.
DiBenedetto then introduced Joann Bugin, who led the group in a short blessing, led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and led in the singing of “God Bless America.”
Those who were celebrating having an August birthday or anniversary were recognized.
Following a buffet dinner, members played multiple rounds of bingo.
The winners of bingo included: Carl Truax, Frank Wisnewski and Barbara Purks.
The club suspended the reading of the treasurer’s and secretary’s reports.
