Church Sermon Topics
The following churches have announced their sermon titles for Sunday services.
• Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville: The 10 a.m. sermon will be “The Ups and Downs of David: Walk in the Way,” given by the Rev. Seth Filburn.
• Cadiz Presbyterian Church: “Even on a Sunday.”
• Cove Presbyterian Church, Weirton: The 11 a.m. sermon title will be “What’s Your Perspective?” given by Elder Bobby Jones.
• Finley Church, Steubenville: The 10:45 a.m. service will feature Women’s Missionary Day. Guest speaker will be Rachel Meneely from Jefferson County Christian School. The 6 p.m. service will be prayer.
• Harmony Church of Mingo Junction: “What You Believe Matters: Judgement Day.”
• Rush Run Community Chapel, Rayland: “The Holy Spirit: How We Sin Against Him.”
• St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “Doing the Right Thing Means Doing the Wrong Thing.”
• St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “In You, O Lord, Have I Taken Refuge.”
• Starkdale Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “Abundant Life.”
• Toronto First Methodist Church: “Justice and Righteousness: God’s Call to His People.”
• Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “Lost and Found.”
• Weirton First Christian Church: “Mercy … Over Rules.”
• Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church: The church will have a guest speaker, the Rev. Dave Parker.
• Wintersville Church of Christ: “Jesus Heals,” will be the sermon taken from Matthew 9.
• Wintersville Methodist Church: “Bible Alive 2025! — I Will Fear No Evil.”
• Zion United Church of Christ, Steubenville: “Understanding Faith,” will be the sermon given by guest pastor, the Rev. David Brown.
