50th-annual Twinsday held

The 50th-annual Twinsdays Festival was held in Twinsburg, Ohio, during the first full weekend in August. This year’s theme was entitled “Cheers to 50 Years.” The first festival held brought approximately 30 sets of twins or multiples to the city’s event. This year, attendance was 2,560 sets or multiples. The festival has seen a total of 88,462 sets or multiples throughout its last 50 years. Past kings and queens helped to commemorate this year’s milestone event, including two sets of local twins who were previously honored as queens of the festival. The Todd twins, at left, Susy Todd Eft and Sandy Todd Rollo, reigned as queens in 2001. The twins have attended 42 festivals. The Graham twins, Marlene Graham Wolf and Darlene Graham Mason, reigned as queens in 2016. The pair have attended 23 festivals. Both sets of twins have won numerous medals in look-alike contests throughout the years. This year was no different, as in the 60 and over female look-alike contest, the Graham twins were awarded the bronze medal. The Todd twins took home silver medals this year. The 50th-annual festival hosted twins from all 50 states, as well as 18 countries. For information, visit twinsdays.org.
