Golf League
The Town and Country Ladies Golf League met July 10 for medal play. Winners of low gross were Baier, A Flight; Vicki Broska, B Flight; and Dora Elizaga, C Flight. The winners of low net were Findlay, A Flight; Pat Zorne, B Flight; and Nancy Lellie, C Flight.
The winners for longest drive on hole No. 1 were Baier, A Flight; Debbie Hendricks, B Flight; and Toni Dondzila, C Flight. The winners for longest drive on hole No. 9 were Baier, A Flight; Zorne, B Flight; and Lellie, C Flight. Winners of closest to the pin on hole No. 8 were Baier, A Flight; Hendricks, B Flight; and Rose Kaczmarek, C Flight. Low putt winners, with 18, included Linda Staffilino, Cathy Jackson and Baier.
The women of the Town and Country League met for a Three Ladies Scramble July 17. Winners were Kathy Antinone, Vicki Broska and Dora Elizaga, first place; Signa Findlay, Linda Staffilino and Shirley Guida, second place; and Cathy Jackson, Marilyn Crew and Rose Kaczmarek, third place. Winners of low putts, with 18, were Jackson and Diane Vandine. Winners for longest drive on hole No. 2 were Findlay, A Flight; Pat Zorne, B Flight; and Elizaga, C Flight. Winners for longest drive on hole No. 7 were Megan Evans, A Flight; and Kaczmarek, C Flight. Winners of closest to the pin on hole No. 4 were Antinone, A Flight; Broska, B Flight; and Elizaga, C Flight.
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League
Members of the Spring Hills Ladies Golf League met July 17. The Play of the Day was NOSE. Winners were Cynde Vidas, A Flight; Veronica Foldi, B Flight; and Patti Powelson, C Flight. The winners for longest drive were Dru Fleighour, A Flight; Linda Caputo, B Flight; and Patty Gerlando, C Flight.
The winners of closest to the pin were Tammy Koutsky, A Flight; Vickie Grant, B Flight; and Pat Carey, C Flight. Neysa McCart had a chip-in on hole No. 4. Cynde Vidas had a birdie on hole No. 9. The league’s guest, Debbie Rodriguez, had a chip-in on hole No. 4.
Highland Springs Ladies League
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the front nine holes Monday. The Play of the Day was NOSE. Winners were Tammy Koutsky, first place; Tammy Jackson, second place; and Erin Ankrum, third place. The winner for longest drive prize on hole No. 4 was Yuko Atwell. Laura Froehlich won for closest to the pin on her second shot on hole No.8. Jackson had a chip-in on hole No 5. She was also the winner for low putts.
The nine-hole league is open to women golfers. Play is held Mondays from May through September. Tee-off begins at 5 p.m. To sign up, call the clubhouse on the day of play by 3:30 p.m. at (304) 737-2201.
