Public hearing set for today
WINTERSVILLE — Notice is being given that a public hearing will be held on the 2026 budget prepared by the Board of Trustees of Cross Creek Township for the next succeeding fiscal year, ending Dec. 31, 2026. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. today at the Board of Trustees office, located at 1267 Cadiz Road in Wintersville.
The regular meeting of the board will follow the public hearing, and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., officials stated.
Car show to benefit 4-H
WINTERSVILLE — The Cross Creek Tomahawks 4-H Club will hold a car show from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday outside of the Municipal Building on Grove Street.
The show is open to cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors.
Owners should arrive by 4 p.m., organizers stated.
Dash plaques and goody bags will go to the first 75 arrivals. Trophies will be awarded.
There will be food vendors and a silent auction during the show.
School retirees to meet
STEUBENVILLE — Steubenville City Schools Retirees met for lunch at the Greek Food Festival in Steubenville June 5 to help support the community.
Those in attendance did a lot of reminiscing and told stories during their meeting.
The next luncheon will take place at noon Thursday at Tucker’s Tavern Bar and Grill in Toronto.
There is no need for a reservation, as Steubenville City Schools retirees are welcome to show up, officials said.
