Children enrolled in area elementary, middle and high schools were invited to participate in this year’s annual Youth Tennis Camp, held from June 9-13 at Starvaggi Park in Weirton. The group was divided into two groups, one for younger players and one for older participants. Led under the direction of Director Shalyn Secrist, those assisting included Raegan, Makenna and Melesse Wiersbicki and Preston Cromwell. Raegan Wiersbicki assisted the younger group and participated in the older group, officials stated. Those attending this year’s event included, from left, front, Ava Yacoviello, Elizabeth Szydlawski, Blakely Mercer, Ariella Francis, Madelyn Weinthal and Emma Yacoviello; and back, Melesse Wiersbicki, Loki White, Sylvia McKenney, Zachary Cerullo, Adina Williams, Secrist, Brynleigh Adler, Lucy Caprarese, Raegan Wiersbicki, Makenna Wiersbicki and Cromwell. Raelyn Pittinger also participated in the camp.
