WELLSBURG — The laughter continues at Brooke Hills Playhouse as organizers are preparing to once again perform the show “No Sex Please, We’re British.”
Written by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, this will be the second season the playhouse has put on the performance.
The British comedy will run from June 20-22 and June 27-29.
The storyline is about a young bride who lives above a bank with her husband, who is the bank’s assistant manager.
He innocently sends off a mail order for some Scandinavian glassware but what he receives is Scandinavian pornography.
The plot revolves around what is to be done with the veritable floods of pornography, books, photographs, films and eventually, girls that threaten to engulf the young, happy couple.
Complications ensue from the young man’s mother, his boss, a visiting bank inspector, a police superintendent and a muddled friend who does everything right — all of which works up to a hilarious ending of closed or slamming doors.
Director Rob DeSantis of Follansbee assembled “a brilliant cast to convey all the important details in the most comedic fashion.”

Jake Keener-Welsch of Wellsburg will play the role of Brian Runnicles, the chief cashier.
