Dinner to honor Barilla
STEUBENVILLE — A committee has been formed to plan a celebration of civic service to honor Steubenville Mayor Jerry Barilla.
According to those on the committee, Barilla is “A man for all the people.”
The time and dedication he has put into serving Steubenville — not only as its mayor, but as a community resident and business owner as well — should be recognized, officials commented.
The Rev. Buena Smith Dudley, along with Greg Froehlich, Patricia Fletcher and James Baber, make up the members of the committee planning the event.
The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. June 25 at Froehlich’s Classic Corner, located at 501 Washington St. in Steubenville. Tickets will be $35 each and available in the coming week. An announcement will be made on where to buy tickets, the committee noted. For information, call (740) 283-9901.
