Cloverbuds enjoy horse camp
The Cloverbuds 4-H group attended horse camp at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Smithfield. The children, ages 5-8 and in kindergarten through second grade, enjoyed the theme Candyland. Participants had an opportunity to learn about a Horseless Horse Project the Ohio State University Extension office offers, meet new friends, learn the history of horses, play team-building activities and take on leadership roles. Cloverbuds joined junior leaders and camp counselors to sing 4-H songs and do an obstacle course. To join the Cloverbuds or a 4-H group for those 8-9 and in third grade, call (740) 264-2212.
