ATHENS — Ohio University recognized those local students who made the President’s List, the Dean’s List and the Provost’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.

Regarding the President’s List, this distinction is awarded to students who obtain a 4.0 grade-point average and carry 12 credit hours or more. Those making the President’s List included: Megan Buksa, Rayland; Emmie Halaja, Dillonvale; Hester Lambright, Dillonvale; Haley Langsdorf, Rayland; Carly Long, Bloomingdale; Caitlin Lukacena, Wintersville; Austin Marchetta, Hopedale; Brittany Mozingo, Hopedale; Isabella Phillips, Steubenville; Phillip Rawson, Toronto; Sophia Riley, Steubenville; and Frankie Vostatek, Mingo Junction.

The Dean’s List recognizes students who obtain a 3.5 to 3.99 grade-point average for the semester and takes at least 12 credit hours of courses.

The Provost’s List recognizes part-time undergraduate students who achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and takes between six and 11.99 credit hours for the semester.

Local students making the Provost’s List included: Abbey Berze, Adena; AnnMarie Corder, Cadiz; Lindsay Gaschler, Mingo Junction; Chris Jeskey, Adena; Wyatt Kalman, Adena; Keira Kelley, Scio; Julian Truax, Steubenville; and Nadia Tweedy, Cadiz.

Slippery Rock University

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa, — Slippery Rock University has announced those local students who have made the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. In order to be on the Dean’s List, students must have received a 3.5 grade-point average or higher, and attempted at least 12 earned credits. Those making the list include Haley Dunlap, Cadiz; Skylar Hardwick, Toronto; and Treston Nemeth, Dillonvale.

St. Francis University

LORETTO, Pa. — St. Francis University has announced the names of those local students who have made the President’s List and Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.

Karsen Blake of Wintersville was named to the President’s List. She is majoring in health science occupational therapy.

Megan Brown of Steubenville was named to the Dean’s List. Her major is health science physical therapy.

University of Mount Union

ALLIANCE — The University of Mount Union has announced those local students who have been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. Students must have achieved a grade-point average of at least 3.55 or better to make the list. Students include: Jasmine Arnold, Jewett; Aleah Bach, Hammondsville; Chelsie Daugherty, Toronto; McKayla Dunkle, Cadiz; Jacob Ford, Carrollton; Elizabeth Funkhouser, Carrollton; Elora Gatts, Cadiz; Jordan Hughes, Yorkville; Bayley McClelland, Carrollton; Brayden Medley, Richmond; and Logan Shields, Adena.

University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Joshua Grimshaw of Steubenville has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Alabama for the Spring 2025 semester. Students must have an academic record of a 3.5 grade-point average and carry a full course load to qualify for the Dean’s List, according to officials.
