The following colleges and universities have submitted the names of students from throughout the local area who have excelled in their classes.
These students have earned either a place on the Dean’s List, the President’s List or have received an award.
Wheeling University
WHEELING — The names of local students who have been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester at Wheeling University have been announced.
Officials noted in order to make the Dean’s List, students must have taken at least 12 or more credit hours, be a full-time student and have earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
Area students named to the list include: Santino Arlia, Weirton; Hillari Baker, Carrollton; Cameron Gray, Weirton; Benjamin Jasko, Weirton; Sierra Kelley, Yorkville; Mariah Pelkey, Yorkville; Matthew Scott, Rayland; Sierra Sears, Richmond; Domenick Tedeschi, Yorkville; Corban Westfall, Mingo Junction; and Sophia Zanieski, Weirton.
Cedarville University
CEDARVILLE — Chloe Barnette of Toronto, has been named to the Dean’s Honor List at Cedarville University for the Spring 2025 semester.
This recognition requires students to obtain at least a 3.75 grade-point average or higher for the semester. Students must also carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Penn State
ALTOONA — Kathryn Maille of Bloomingdale has been recognized by officials at Penn State Altoona for student excellence in history.
Maille was recognized for her achievement during the college’s Student Awards ceremony.
