Spreading kindness

Students in the Transition to Work program at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School are spreading some cheer this holiday season as they began random acts of kindness throughout the school this month. Instructor Jennifer Davis said the class decided to brighten people’s day by distributing Starburst candies, along with a positive message to students and staff members. They have additional ideas to spread kindness, including creating signs, handing out cookies, passing out stickers and leaving kind notes on students’ lockers. Seniors taking part in creating candy packages included Braden Blackburn, left, and James Wooden.
