Stanton learns about wildlife

1 min read

Jefferson County Wildlife Officers Craig Porter and Kiri Williams visited Stanton Elementary second-graders to discuss their roles through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The duo talked about wildlife throughout the state as part of the school's "Our Edison Community," speaker series. Guidance counselor Megan McNear said a program is held every April, with officials talking to classes at Stanton and John Gregg elementary schools about how they contribute to the community. Other speakers included representatives from the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County and the Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Center.
