The Warren Township Lions Club, in collaboration with teacher Jenny Potts and Buckeye South Elementary School's literacy promotion, has placed Little Lending Libraries at the Warren Township Park in Tiltonsville and outside the city buildings in Yorkville, Tiltonsville and Rayland. Made from outdoor newspaper boxes donated by Perry Nardo of Ogden Newspapers, and refurbished by club members Mike and Gladys Horsky, the libraries were transformed with colorful and child-friendly themed decals by Lisa Hertler of Erb Electric. Potts applied for a $700 grant in the fall. The club saw Potts' post on Facebook and wanted to help. Tiltonsville's Unified Bank provided new children's books for the project. Lions members thanked those who have donated gently-used children's books for all reading levels and said if anyone wants to contribute books toward the effort, they can contact the elementary school or any Lions member.
