Pupils at Stanton Elementary School raised $3,030 during the American Heart Association's Kids' Heart Challenge. The event featured children becoming active in the school's gymnasium during their related-arts period. Activities included jumping rope, shooting basketball free-throws and holding a gaga tournament. The top three pupils were recognized for their successful efforts in raising the most money for the cause. Top-finishers were, from left, fourth-grader Adalynn Glasure, second; second-grader Branlin Wilson, first; and first-grader Zane Adams, third.
