It was announced during the group's monthly meeting that Lamont McCoy and Esther McCoy will serve as delegates for the Ohio Lions District 13 OH3 Convention. The convention will take place April 19-21 at the Greystone Event Center in Wooster. District Gov. Becky Thornton issued the official call, explaining overnight accommodations are available at the adjacent Holiday Inn Express and Suites on Riffel Road.

The event will include a meeting to discuss the convention's memorial service, scheduled for 9 a.m. April 20. The service will take place later in the day, officials stated. A business meeting and the election of officers will be held at 10 a.m. April 21. The purpose of the convention's election is to select a district governor, first vice district governor and a second vice district governor for the 2024-25 year.

The club is making plans to hold a tag day event for the purpose of awarding a Buckeye Local graduating senior with a scholarship. The scholarship will be presented sometime in May.
