STEUBENVILLE -- The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced its upcoming activities and events for branches throughout the area. Those interested in attending an event should call and reserve a seat, as programs fill up quickly, officials stated.

Adults: Books on Tap Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 28 to discuss "The Last Stars in the Sky," by Kate Hewitt. Call the Main Library for information.
Children: Tot Time, a program for parents or caregivers and their children between the ages of 2 through 6, will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 2 at the library. Children will enjoy stories, songs and a craft. Registration is required.

Children: Take your baby to Babygarten, a program for children aged birth to 2, at 11:30 a.m. April 29. Books, rhymes and songs will be shared. Registration is required.

Adults: Learn about the spotted lanternfly's movement across Jefferson County and throughout Ohio with an Ohio State University Extension Office agent at 1 p.m. April 30.
The insect was first spotted in the county three years ago. Participants will learn what to expect moving forward and management strategies. Registration is required.
