STEUBENVILLE -- The March meeting of Funseekers was held at the Breakfast Club, with President Cathy DiBenedetto welcoming the 54 members in attendance. March birthdays and anniversaries were announced.

Joann Bugin led with a short reading, followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and members singing, "God Bless America." A buffet dinner followed. The business meeting included the treasurer's and secretary's reports. DiBenedetto reported she has reserved the shelter house at Follansbee Park for the Funseeker's annual picnic, scheduled to take place Aug. 11. Volunteers are needed to supply door prizes for meetings throughout the remainder of the year. A sign-up sheet was passed around for members to select a month in which to supply the prizes. The club will reimburse money spent up to $100.

A tour guide report was announced by Regina Truax, with the following tours and trips, scheduled: Footloose at Lincoln Park, May 5; Atlantic City at Tropicana Resort, May 19-22; Lancaster with four meals and two shows, May 29-31; Ark Encounter and riverboat cruise, June 12-14; Sugar Creek, June 21; Titanic at Lincoln Park with dinner at Connie's Corner, June 30; Hartville, July 26; Beach Boys, Capitol Theater, Wheeling, Sept. 21; and Nashville Show Tour with lodging at Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Dec. 1-4.

Lester Stuckmeyer won the 50/50 drawing. Johnny Balzano was auctioneer of the Brown Bag Auctions. The event raises funds for the treasury, and is enjoyed by the members as they bid on items sealed in brown paper bags. Door Prizes were awarded throughout the auction.
