RICHMOND -- The Edison Local Board of Education met Dec. 19 for its regular monthly meeting at Edison High School.
It was decided the organizational meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m. today, followed by the regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. The meetings will be held at Edison High School.
Members appointed Aaron Richardson as president pro tem for organizational meeting.
The board approved the minutes from the Nov. 16 meeting.
Members approved the certified substitute list and the non-certified substitute list.
The board approved supplemental contracts and approved FMLA for three certified employees and a non-certified employee.
Members approved the employment of Colleen Shepherd as a Title I non-public tutor, not to exceed 72 hours, at Bishop John King Mussio Elementary School.
The resignation of Pam Collins, a cook at the high school, was approved. Collins is resigning for retirement purposes, effective May 30.
Board members accepted the employment of Lindsay Leake as an aide at John Gregg Elementary. Her employment became effective Nov. 28.
Members accepted the resignation of Fred Stine, custodian at John Gregg Elementary, effective May 31. They approved a contract for Amanda Gump, treasurer, effective Jan. 1 through July 31, 2025.
A contract for Lisa Bruzzese, assistant treasurer, was approved and is in effect from Jan. 1 through April 30.
The final reading of Neola update 42.1 was approved, as was a revision to the administrative salary and fringe benefit agreement.
The board approved an addendum to the Columbiana County Educational Service Center occupational therapy contract. The contract became effective Dec. 1.
Members approved a contract with Maple Consulting to provide communication and marketing services for the Edison Local School District, effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31.
Membership with the OSBA for 2024 was renewed and participation in the OSBA legal assistance fund was approved for 2024.
