Valley’s Got Talent competition set for Sunday

STEUBENVILLE -- The 10th-annual Valley's Got Talent competition, hosted by the Ohio Valley Youth Network and Sycamore Youth Center, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Steubenville High School auditorium. The event is free of charge.
The show will feature 25 of the top youth artists in the Upper Ohio Valley who will compete for a combined $1,250 in prize money. Its purpose is to amplify inspirational voices and recognize talent in the form of areas including vocals, dance, instruments and group song.
Last year's show had 850 guests in attendance.
A crowd of a similar size is expected at this year's competition, according to Bobbyjon Bauman, president of the OVYN.
"We award prizes of $500 to the grand-prize winner, $100 to the first-place contestant in every category and $25 to the second-place contestant in every category, for a total of over $1,000 in prize money," Bauman said.
Past Valley's Got Talent winners Elisha Fletcher, Jay Stoneman, Lynzee Ensell, Dalana Bove, Brent Kimball, Faire May and Ashley Marina of America's Got Talent fame will perform.
