Students in the carpentry, electrical trades, heavy equipment operation and power mechanics programs at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School have been undergoing forklift, aerial lift and scissor lift training to become certified operators. Power mechanics instructor Fred Jones supervised student trainers J.J. Riley, Zack VanGosen and Landon Stull and was assisted by electrical trades instructor Buddy Davis and Jim Meriwether while the vehicles were provided by H&K Equipment Inc. Students completed maneuverability and driving performance tests to obtain licensure.
