BLOOMINGDALE -- Prospective students have a chance to view programs at the upcoming sophomore career days at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School.
Local students will visit the site from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday to peruse the programs of their choice and determine which ones they would be interested in studying. Supervisor and Principal Andy Long, said hundreds of teens representing county high schools to homeschoolers will stop by the school's 16 labs.
The visits follow the annual eighth-grade tours, which attracted about 390 students who spent time in all of the labs, but the sophomores will only view their main selections at the upcoming event.
Among the schools attending are Indian Creek, Harrison Central and Jefferson County Christian School on Tuesday; Buckeye Local, Steubenville Catholic Central, homeschoolers and online students, Wednesday; and Edison, Toronto and Steubenville, Thursday.
Long added that applications for the new term will be available Nov. 17.
