STEUBENVILLE-- Members of the Philoptochos Society at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will oversee the annual Veterans Day luncheon, scheduled for noon Thursday at Hellenic Hall, located at 300 S. Fourth St.
The event is free to all area veterans, according to organizers.
Officials ask any veteran who plans to attend to RSVP to the church by calling (740) 282-9835.
The society will be holding its monthly gyro sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The group will be selling the following items at the church: Gyros will be sold for $9 each; grape leaves, three for $3.50; baklava, $3; tyropita, $3.50; melamakarona, $2.50; almond crescent cookies, $2; and koulourakia, one dozen for $8.
Orders can be phoned in by calling (740) 282-9835. Fax orders can be called into at (740) 282-2091.
Allow a minimum of 20 minutes for all orders. There will be free delivery on all orders of four or more gyros to businesses and parishoners only, according to organizers.
