Bishop Mussio to perform the musical, “Finding Nemo Jr.”

STEUBENVILLE -- Disney-Pixar's "Finding Nemo Jr." will be playing at Lanman Hall at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. This charming, 60-minute musical, designed for performers in middle school, is based on the beloved 2003 Pixar film, "Finding Nemo."

The seventh- and eighth-grade cast at Bishop John King Mussio Central Junior High School includes 48 students led by Ezekiel Paulowski, Kayla Becca, Renee Wnek and Chrissy DiMichele.

"Our students have been hard at work," Paulowski said. "They've been learning about the theatrical arts, as well as themselves. We are so excited to share their talents with their friends and family and the community at large. The theater provides so many wonderful opportunities for our students and we are so blessed to have such a thriving program at Steubenville Catholic schools."

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid, Nemo. Nemo longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home, but is captured and taken to Sydney. Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean.

"With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, a laid-back sea turtle named Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves," Paulowski said.

Featuring the songs "Just Keep Swimming," "Fish Are Friends Not Food," and "Go With the Flow," "Finding Nemo Jr." brings a vibrant, underwater world to life on the stage. It is a story full of family, friendship and adventure.
