The Kiwanis Club of Weirton held its annual Kitty Kochman Quarter Auction Oct. 15 at the Holiday Inn. The club raised more than $1,200 to further efforts to "service the children of the world," beginning with the Weirton community and projects including the Weirton Christian Center's Kitty Kochman Day. In addition, the Weirton Kiwanis sponsored a day for children, parents and staff to enjoy a day at Kennywood Park. Among those attending the auction were a table of bidders who supported the fundraiser to help Kiwanis members continue with their service projects. Bidders included clockwise from left, Kiwanis member Duke Horstemeyer, Mae Chapman, Chappie Chapman, Melanie Wright, Lexie Wright and Gloria Suchko.
