WHEELING -- The Thursday Music Club will meet at 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at CharHouse on the Avenue.
Candia Riddle and Lynn Welsh will greet those in attendance. A reservation and fee must be paid to attend the luncheon.

Rachel Price, the 2023 Gretchen McKee Scholarship winner, will entertain the club. She is a junior music education and vocal performance major at West Liberty University. She will be accompanied by Debbie Breiding from West Liberty University.
President Suzanne McCormick will conduct a short business meeting, Mary Anne Mysliwiec will give the treasurer's report; and Judy Szymialis' will give the minutes.
The Thursday Music Club is accepting members. Dues cost $20 per year.
The program committee, consisting of chairman Peggy Laing and members Debbie Breiding, Anita Chops, Betty Lane, Suzi McCormick, Judy Szymialis and Lynn Welsh, created the following lineup: Joyce Jingle and WPHS Singers, Nov. 2; Faire May, Dec. 7; no January meeting; JoAnn Davis, Feb. 1; WVU Jazz Band, March 7; the Thursday Music Club Chorus Spring Concert to be held at Elm Grove Methodist Church, April 4; and an inaugural luncheon, to be determined in May.
Choral director Anita Chops will begin chorus practice from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 4 at Elm Grove Methodist Church. Debbie Breiding is accompanist. New music will be distributed at that time. Youth auditions will be held March 15-16 at Vance Presbyterian Church in Woodsdale.
The recital will be March 24 at the church.
