Shaffer Plaza residents were going green during a St. Patrick's Day party on March 17, including Shirley Robinson, who donned her green gear for the occasion. Steve Forte, activities coordinator for the Jefferson County Board of Developmental Disabilities, organized the fete at the Jeffco Center in Steubenville with help from afternoon supervisor Misty Speece. Guests enjoyed music, dancing, refreshments and a variety of festive necklaces, glasses and decorations for the occasion. Resident Manager Kassey Minor said she "thrilled "to have a facility that was close to home and convenient for the individuals she serves while the residents were looking forward to an Easter activity there in April.
