BETHANY -- Bethany College's Grimes Lecture Series will return with the Rev. Larry E. Grimes, the former Bethany professor for whom they are named, at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at Steinman Hall as part of the school's homecoming weekend.
Grimes holds degrees from Bethany College, Yale Divinity School and Emory University in English, theology, culture and literature.
He taught at Bethany for four decades as well as serving in various administrative positions.
Now residing in Colorado, Grimes will share and discuss poems from his new book, "Upon a Slender Stalk."
Past guest lecturers have included former Director of the National Security, National Intelligence, and Central Intelligence Agencies General Michael Hayden, Social Impact Strategist Ashley Spillane and New York Times bestselling author Wiley Cash.
