Duquesne University

PITTSBURGH -- Veronica Phillipson of Wintersville has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Duquesne University, having attained a GPA of 3.93.

Glenville State University

GLENVILLE, W.Va -- Jeremy A. Taylor of New Cumberland has been named to the Glenville State University Provost's Honor Roll for the spring semester. To be named to that, students must have a grade-point averages between 3.5 and 3.9 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Mercy College of Ohio

Hayley Argentine of Richmond was awarded honors for the spring semester at Mercy College of Ohio.

To be named on the dean's list, a student must achieve a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours. To be named on the honor's List, a student must achieve a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for six to b11 credit hours. To be named on the president's list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade-point average and be enrolled for 14 or more credit hours.

Slippery Rock University

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the spring 2022 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Area students who made the dean's list are Miranda Corrigan of Mingo Junction; Corey Dunlap of Cadiz; Lucas Haight of Toronto; and Karlie Vandeborne of Wintersville.

Ohio Northern University

ADA, Ohio -- Ethan Brown of Steubenville participated in Ohio Northern University's spring 2022 commencement ceremonies.

Ohio Wesleyan University

DELAWARE, Ohio -- Mark Frawley of Toronto graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University when it held its 178th commencement ceremony on May 7.

University of Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- More than 400 graduate and undergraduate students participated in the University of Mount Union's 176th commencement ceremony held May 14 in the Peterson Field House of the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

Thousands gathered at two separate in-person ceremonies to celebrate the graduate students in the morning and undergraduate students in the afternoon. The event was also livestreamed to friends and family across the country.

Local residents who graduated included Emmett Davis of Scio and Sydney Taggart, Abigail Miller, Joseph Nave and Nicole Rawson, all of Toronto.

The following local students have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of Mount Union.

Jasmine Arnold of Jewett; Makara Eick of Bloomingdale; and Faith Hoobler of Hammondsville.

To be eligible for the dean's list, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no letter grade below a B.
