Brew and Food Truck Festival set for Saturday in Richmond

RICHMOND -- Festival in the Woods, a nonprofit organization whose members note they are dedicated to improving their community, have two events on the calendar this week.
"Throughout the year we hold many events to give back to the community, including a new event this year -- Movies in the Park," explained an organization spokesperson.
The first of these will take place Friday at dusk at 210 S. Park St., Richmond, the "Richmond College campus grounds," and feature the movie "The Sandlot." Admission is free. Those attending are urged to bring a blanket, chair and snacks.
"We are able to put on these community events by having fundraisers. One of our favorite fundraisers will be the following day, Saturday, at the Richmond College campus," the spokesperson noted.
The Brew and Food Truck Festival will be held at 210 S. Park St. from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and showcase 10 food vendors, wine slushies and a varied selection of craft and domestic beers. Admission is free.
"We are excited to announce the addition of live music to this year's event," the spokesperson added with entertainment including Chelsea Matta Householder, Adam Kiaski and Dustin Kildow.
Food trucks participating include:
* Hot Bunz Food Truck (cinnamon buns, pretzels, coffee);
* Adam's Eden Food Truck (a wide range of sandwiches);
* Desperado Dogs (gourmet hot dogs);
* Kathy's Little Kitchen (meatball sandwiches, funnel cakes, kettle corn);
* Smitty's (pizza, corn dogs, chili);
* Truckin' Triangles (unique bites);
* 740 BBQ (BBQ);
* Mobile Chef (world fusion cuisine);
* Mamalicious (gourmet burgers); and
* Dynamik Dining 2 Go (seafood).
Drinks include:
* Wine Slushies: Black Cherry from Ohio Valley Winery;
* Seltzer: White Claw;
* Domestics: Miller Lite, Bud Light; and
* Craft: 8 days a week (Southern Tier -- Blonde Ale), Clockwork Tangerine (BrewDog -- Session IPA), Sierra Nevada (Pale Ale), All Day Vacay (Founders -- Session Wheat Ale), Summer Shandy (Leinenkugel -- Weiss Lemonade), Slightly Mighty (Dogfish Head -- LoCal IPA).
Parking can be found in the village of Richmond. Finding a designated driver and carpooling is encouraged.
The first Brew and Food Truck Festival was held in 2019 with the 2020 event canceled because of the pandemic.
