Brewing demonstration Saturday
The American Homebrewers Association holds an annual event on the first Saturday of May with this commemorating the 24th-annual Big Brew Day. In recognition of the AHA event, the HOOCH Home Brew Club will hold a brewing demonstration from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday at Patriot Tap House, located at 111 Reichart Ave., Wintersville. The HOOCH Home Brew Club has a diverse group of brewers. “We brew most styles of beers and are willing to answer all brewing questions. We welcome anyone over 21 to come and watch the brewing process,” a spokesperson explained. National Home Brew Day was established May 7, 1988, by Congress. The HOOCH Home Brew Club brewed at Patriot Tap House in Wintersville on Nov. 7 to celebrate American Homebrewers Association Learn to Brew Day.
