The Weirton community was lit up Saturday night, as more than 7,000 luminaria sold by the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce lined many of the city's streets. The evening included a visit from Santa Claus to several neighborhoods and a fireworks display set off along Park Drive. All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, located at 3528 West St., Weirton, participated with some festivities of its own. The church was decorated outside with wreaths, garland and luminaries lining the steps to the entrance, and church bells rang out with Christmas carols and liturgical carols as well, according to a church spokesperson. In the recently constructed outdoor booth, cookies, cocoa and coffee were served. "But the most glorious part of the evening was the icon of the Nativity of Christ adorning the entrance to the church," the spokesperson added, noting parishioners were able to pray silently and venerate the icon. "It was a community gift, a night to see and follow the lights, to greet the newborn king, to hear the praise of hymns and to rejoice together as a family." From left are the Rev.
