CADIZ WOMEN’S GOLF LEAGUE
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League Play of the Day for Wednesday was low net threesomes. The winners were the team of Kathy Smith, Sandi Poland and Pat Stewart.
The putt pot was split between Karen Sims and Nep Rowland. Hostess for the day was Kathy Newburn. Tracy Amos and Marilyn Kenny had birdies, and Pat Stewart and Nep Rowland had chip-ins.
Next week will be the closing day scramble which begins at 1 p.m. with dinner following.
SPRING HILLS GOLF LEAGUE
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League held a year-end scramble on Sept. 24 with President Debbie Phillippi announcing the winners.
Scramble winners were a three-way tie of team Debbie Phillippi and Mary Aerhart; team Terri Barkley, Brenda McCloskey and Tammy Cox; and team Cynde Vidas, Mary DiMichele and Pat Carey
Long drive: A flight, Cynde Vidas; B flight, Brenda McCloskey; and C flight, Mary Arehart.
50/50 winner was Dru Fleishour.
Ringer award winners announced by Mary Arehart were: A flight, Debbie Phillippi; B flight, Neysa McCart; and C flight, Tammy Cox,
Birdie winners: Debbie Phillippi, Cynde Vidas, Yuko Atwell, JoAnn Liberto, Ruth Lamantia and Judy Galbraith.
Picnic chairmen were Pat Carey, Carmela Wallace and Kathy Moore.
New officers were announced for 2021. They are: President, Brenda is McCloskey; vice president, Judy Galbraith; secretary, Arlene Owens; and treasurer, Mary DiMichele.
Door prizes were won by Kathy Moore, Mary Alice Meyer, Mary DiMichele and Vickie Grant.
Special thanks was extended to Dan Stacy at Spring Hills Golf Course for “helping us survive our pandemic year of golf.”
Club champions were announced by Vickie Grant.
RED OAKS LADIES LEAGUE
On Sept. 21, the women of the Red Oaks Ladies League played the game N.O.S.E. on the front nine at Red Oaks Golf Course.
Tammy Koutsky and Pat Carey tied for first place, and Brenda McCloskey came in second place. Ruth Lamantia won the skill prize for longest drive on hole No. 5. Tammy Cox won the skill prize for closest to the pin on hole No. 4. Kathi Moore had the lowest putts for the round. Three women carded a birdie this round — Denise Augustine on hole No. 4, Brenda McCloskey on hole No. 5 and Ruth Lamantia on hole No. 6.
Monday marks the last regular season play. The league will play that day at Highland Springs in Wellsburg.
The starting time has been moved up to 4:30 p.m. due to earlier sunsets. Call the club house by 3 p.m. to sign up.
TOWN AND COUNTRY
Town and Country Golf played the “N.O.S.E.” game on Sept. 17. The winner was Kathy Antinone with a 27. Low putts was Signa Findlay.
Other winners were:
Long drive hole No. 3: A flight, Findlay; B flight, Antinone; and C flight, Rose Kaczmarek.
Long drive hole No. 5: B flight, Antinone.
Closest to the pin hole No. 8: B Flight, Antinone and C flight, Kaczmarek.
