ATTENDS CONVENTION: Mary Kay Olashuk, a member of the Weirton Kiwanis Club, attned the Kiwanis International Convention held June 24-27 at the Manila Marriott in the Philippines.
This was the 25th international convention she has attended. Olashuk was among the 17 delegates from the Capital District, which includes West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. A total of 917 delegates attended the convention.
She is a trustee of the WV Region of the Capital District, which includes Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
International officers elected were: Hope Markes, Jamaica, president; Cathy Szymanski, Wattsburg, Pa., president-elect; and Toto Gonzales, Philippines, vice president.
Next year’s International Convention will be in Dallas, and will run June 16-19.
