PROMOTION: Niko Otto has been promoted to the vice president of Steel Valley Contracting and Maintenance.
He has worked in construction since high school, when he spent his summer breaks in construction and worked as a mason, estimator and project manager for five years in Erie, before moving to Pittsburgh.
In Pittsburgh, Otto worked in commercial construction as a laborer and carpenter for another five years. He then moved back to the area as the sole proprietor of his own contracting company. Otto’s experience in the construction business will be extremely beneficial as he leads Steel Valley’s continued growth.
Otto has many hobbies he enjoys. He gardens, raises livestock and makes his own maple syrup, and participates in several sports. He hunts, fishes, plays basketball, spends time going to NASCAR races, and engages in sports betting.
NEW POSITION: Charlie Ellis has joined Steel Valley Contracting and Maintenance as a project manager,, bringing decades of hands-on experience and leadership to the team. In his role, Ellis oversees medium- to long-term rent ready projects as well as rental construction initiatives for property management, while supporting ongoing operations alongside the Steel Valley Contracting team.
With 25 years of experience as a safety coordinator and a 33-year membership with Local 809, Ellis offers a deep understanding of construction practices, job site safety and project execution. His well-rounded background in fieldwork and management allow him to lead projects efficiently while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and safety.
His expertise, attention to detail, and team-focused approach make him a valuable asset to clients and colleagues. He is dedicated to delivering reliable results and helping ensure every project is completed to the highest standards.
Ellis enjoys camping, riding UTVs and spending time with friends and family.
ADDITION TO STAFF: Jamy Darezzo has joined the staff at Cedar One Reality.
Born and raised in the Ohio Valley, she graduated from Union Local High School in 1976 before beginning a career as a registered nurse, dedicating more than 30 years to caring for others while raising her children in South Florida. She said that experience shaped a strong work ethic, compassion and commitment to serving others.
Later in life, she and her husband completed their careers in Flagstaff, Ariz.
As a real estate professional licensed in Ohio, she said she is excited to help others rediscover what makes this area so special — whether you’re returning home, putting down roots or starting a brand-new chapter. Her background in health care has given her a natural ability to listen, care, and advocate for my clients every step of the way.
A resident of St. Clairsville, Darezzo said she has a wonderful family — a son, Noah; daughter, Randi; and grandchildren Mia, Matty and Quentin. She also has two cats, Pumpkin and Alice.
Darezzo earned her associate of science in nursing from WVNCC and her bachelor of science in nursing from Lynn University.
