Kingsview Partners opens Steubenville office

Paul Sweeney II

STEUBENVILLE — Paul Sweeney II, a partner and wealth manager, will lead the newest office of Kingsview Partners.

A Steubenville native, Sweeney brings more than 11 years of financial experience to the Kingsview platform, along with a background in military service and commercial construction.

Before entering the financial services industry, Sweeney served as an infantry sniper in the Army with a deployment to Afghanistan. His military career taught him discipline, focus and responsibility–traits that continue to shape his approach to client service today. After returning home, he transitioned into a role as a senior project manager, overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects. But a deeper calling led him elsewhere.

“When I was deployed, I started thinking about whether I had truly made an impact,” Sweeney said. “Through prayer and reflection, I came home with a conviction: I wanted to help people gain control of their lives — starting with their finances.”

Today, he specializes in retirement-focused financial planning and comprehensive wealth management. Sweeney works with individuals and families who have built significant assets and are looking for a steady partner to help them transition into and through retirement. His planning process centers on structure, education and peace of mind–addressing fear and uncertainty with clarity and care.

“I get to watch clients go from stressed and overwhelmed to confident and excited,” Sweeney explained. “It’s deeply rewarding to see that spark return to their lives once they feel they’re in control and supported.”

Paul holds both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kent State University. Outside the office, his world revolves around his wife, Kayla, and their four children–Micah, Olivia, Ava and Elly. The family enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and exploring culture together. Sweeney is also an avid reader, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and lifelong learner.

Sean McGillivray, the CEO of Kingsview Partners, said he was excited about the opening of the new office.

“Paul’s character, discipline, and client-centered mindset are exactly what we look for in a partner. We’re honored to welcome him to Kingsview and excited to support his continued success,” McGillivray said.

Kingsview’s office is located at 2203 Sunset Blvd. Sweeney can be reached by calling (740) 314-0777 or through the Kingsview website.
