NEW BOARD MEMBER: Jim Morgan is the newest member of the board of trustees of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County.
He was appointed by the Jefferson County commissioners and will serve a four-year term. Morgan has a strong involvement with the community and is active with the United Way of Jefferson County, Jefferson County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, Urban Mission Ministries and the Jefferson County Sportsman Associates.
He worked more than 20 years in human resources for various corporations of the steel industry. An Army veteran, Morgan is retired from Eastern Gateway Community College, where he was vice president for administrative services.
"I'm an avid reader and appreciative of the library's many services including interlibrary loan, notary, and various programs," Morgan said.
