Family Roots Farm taking part in W.Va. Maple Days

WELLSBURG — Family Roots Farm on Hervey Lane will again be participating in West Virginia Maple Days, a statewide celebration of West Virginia’s producers of maple-based products, with events planned in February and March.

They include pancake dinners on Friday and March 13, with families invited to attend in pajamas and activities for children; tours on Feb. 18 and March 18 of the farm and its Sugar Shack, where it produces maple syrup and sugar products and attendees can take home a warm jug of syrup; a March 15 tour of the Sugar Shack only with dinner served by chef Darcy Suslovic; and art instruction on March 2 visit by Deb of Step by Step Painting.

The farm also will be providing products for use in meals served by The Vagabond Kitchen in Wheeling on Feb. 21.

Reservations are required. To make them and for costs and other information, visit the farm’s website at www.familyrootsfarmwv.com.
