Trinity sponsors Kidz Zone
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The soft play area for children inside the Ohio Valley Mall now has a new sponsor — Trinity Health System.
Trinity, which is based in Steubenville, decided to step into the role since the former sponsors, Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital, are now closed.
“Trinity Health System is committed to supporting the Belmont County community,” said Matt Grimshaw, Trinity’s president and CEO.
“Partnering with the mall to provide ongoing access to education and healthy living options including a new walking program, diabetes education events, laboratory clinics and much more is just one more way we are expanding into the Belmont County region. We appreciate the Cafaro family and their willingness to allow us to serve the community here at the Ohio Valley Mall.”
Trinity recently reopened a health clinic in St. Clairsville previously operated by EORH. It also is planning to open a new black lung clinic in St. Clairsville. It recently opened a primary care office in Bellaire at the Kroger shopping plaza.
Trinity employees also introduced children to its brand new mascot — Trinity Tiger. The Kidz Zone is designed as safe, soft area for children 42 inches tall or less to play, get exercise and have fun. It is frequently used by families visiting the mall. It is also a popular spot when the weather is inclement or when parents need a safe, contained area to let their little ones burn off some energy.
Candi Noble-Greathouse, marketing director for the mall, said the mall is thrilled to have Trinity as its new partner.
“We’re looking forward to the many events we can do together to better the community,” she said.
