STEUBENVILLE POLICE

Quiet night: A Belleview Boulevard resident told police Sunday a dog "continuously barks from (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.) every night. Police sat in the alley beside the residence for a time but "did not hear a dog bark."

Not appreciated: Police told a Brady Avenue resident he needs to stop driving his truck through his neighbor's backyard Sunday. He said he would stop.

Hit-skipped: An employee at Trinity West said a driver struck his drivers' rear quarter panel and left the scene Sunday. Building security recognized the other driver, a nurse.

Booked: Otis Allen, 49, 732 N. 6th St., Steubenville, two counts of criminal trespass, Monday. Employees at the mid-town Speedway told police he was "pestering customers entering the store" and refused to leave the area, despite having been told he was no longer welcome there.

Charged: Lena Cremeans, 31, N. 6th St., Steubenville, possession of drug paraphernalia, Monday.

Booked: Lena Craig, 180 N. 4th St., Apt. 408, Steubenville, possession of a Schedule 1 substance, a needle loaded with what police believe to be methamphetamine.

Cited: London A. Thompson, 23, Oxford, OH, speeding; Christina Frey, 175 Scenic Heights, Bloomingdale, failure to control after a fender-bender Sunday on John Scott Highway at Mall Drive.

Heavy hitter: An Adena resident said her daughter's ex-boyfriend was "attempting to break down...the front door" Monday. She said the ex demanded her daughter come to the door and threatened to break the window if she refused, which she did. When he found out they'd called for law enforcement he left. Deputies said storm window fell out because of him pounding on the door but they didn't want to pursue charges. The ex admitted he'd been pounding on the door but said he was unaware he knocked the window out.
