POLICE REPORTS
Jefferson County Sheriff
Dog days: A homeowner on State Route 213, Toronto, said Wednesday his neighbor lets his dog do his business on his property and doesn't clean it up. When he posted about this on Facebook, the man demanded he take it down. He told deputies the man "pulled up in front of his house and 'wanted to fight' him" since he did not remove the post and was enraged when he refused to engage him, threatening to "go to the bathroom in his driveway."
Piling on: An area resident told deputies Wednesday she and her husband are being scammed and it's been going on for three years. She told deputies she thinks the scammer "placed listening devices in her home" and she and her husband were being blackmailed, where she's had to change her TikTok three times. She said she doesn't drive and has collected evidence over the past three years "but is now in fear for her safety."
Steubenville Police
Keeps coming back: A Market Street resident told police a man was outside her apartment Wednesday, banging on her door despite a court order barring him from any contact with her. Police spotted a pair of shoes "sticking out from a window" on the back side of the building before disappearing inside what turned out to be a vacant apartment. Samuel Turner, 37, Columbus., Steubenville, was booked into the county jail without bond for violating the protection order and breaking and entering.
Charged: Charles Abbot, 19, Imperial, PA, theft. Employees at Walmart told police Abbott failed to scan two ribeye steaks valued at just under $71.
