Got the boot: A man living on township Road 241, Toronto, told deputies his ex slit his truck tire Saturday. He said she’d been next door at his sister’s house drinking and when she showed up at this house he told her not to come in, she told him she “just wanted to ask him a question.” He said he warned her a second time but she came in anyway, so he “kicked her in the chest and she fell off the stairs.” He said he stayed in the house until he heard a loud noise and when he investigated, discovered the tire had been punctured.
Picture this: A Jefferson County resident reported an ex who’s unhappy with their breakup Wednesday. She said he posted embarrassing pictures of her on social media and sent her pastor and members of the congregation pictures of “marijuana and (adult) toys.”
Fists flying: Deputies were asked Thursday to track down a Toronto man involved in an altercation in Weirton. When they located him he said he was at a gas station and said they hard words because the man was “upset with him leaving his truck blocking the gas pump.” He said the man “threw a fist at him through his open window” and when he got out the man hit him in the head so he “took him to the ground.” He said he never threw a punch “and just held him down” and when the man had calmed down he left. Deputies report he showed no signs of being in a fight and his hands were unmarked.
Alcohol rage: A caller reported a woman was “running around, yelling and screaming” at a camp ground on state Route 213, Toronto, Thursday. The male said she was upset about something and “threw a large socket into the front door of the camper.”
Dog’s world: A Richmond landlord said a tenant was walking her dogs when a man who may live in the neighborhood “began cussing at her for an unknown reason” Sept. 19. The stranger told the tenant he would “shoot her dogs if they ever came onto his property and would beat her up
Read the fine print: A couple indulging in beer and shots had a disagreement Sunday. Deputies said the woman was intoxicated but told them they were “fighting about their ‘love contract.'” He said he had to work in the morning and was trying to get some sleep “and the argument was over him wanting to sleep. Neither of them wanted to file charges.
STEUBENVILLE POLICE
Persistent: A man who has repeatedly been told he needs to leave a property in the 800 block of Market Street was back, Monday. A resident said he was once again trying to get into her apartment through a rear window. An hour later police were told he’d returned and once again was trying to get into her apartment, but he was gone. They said the male has a history of running off before they arrive then returning after they leave, so this time police “waited outside” for him to come back and spotted him leaving the building’s laundry room. Police said Samuel Markese Turner, 37, formerly of Columbus, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on a trespass charge Monday.
Debris field: A motorist ran over a piece of aluminum juveniles in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue threw in the roadway Sunday, but he wasn’t sure which of them did it. Police said when they checked the area “the usual suspects fled.”
Distracted driver: A female motorist said she saw a loose dog on the side of the road which caused her to drive off the roadway and into a utility pole” Monday in the 400 block of South Fourth Street.
Screamer: Someone sitting outside Gaylord Towers reported hearing a woman screaming Sunday. Police figured out the source and said it “sounded like a female yelling at the TV” but they didn’t hear any concerning statements. A neighbor told police it was “common” for that resident to yell at a family member.
