STEUBENVILLE POLICE
Jumped in: A Toronto man said he was sitting in a drive-thru in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard when a man "got into the passenger side uninvited and demanded a ride to Ridge Avenue" Monday. He told police he was afraid to say no because he didn't know if he had a gun.
Trashy stuff: A caller complained about "excessive trash" being thrown out by a neighbor in the 600 block of Oakmont Avenue Monday. The caller said the debris "is blowing throughout the neighborhood and causing an increase in rodents."
Adding up: A Market Street resident complained her estranged husband is harassing her and she fears she may come to harm at his hands. She said he "practices black magic and...is leaving hair ties in her apartment," though she also admits they haven't spoken in several years.
Drove off: A Hill Avenue resident said an individual living in her household took her vehicle without her consent Monday. She said the individual doesn't have a valid license and can't see well, and she's not comfortable with him taking it, though she doesn't want to pursue charges. She said she thinks he'll return "at some point." Police said they'd keep an eye out for him.
Tumbled: An intoxicated male was taken to the hospital for treatment after he fell on a stairwell in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard Monday.
Rocky road: Police located juveniles who callers said were throwing rocks at passing cars in the 1500 block of Sunset Boulevard Monday. They spoke with the kids about what they were doing, then went to their home and advised their mom what they'd been up to.
Claims stolen: A man in the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue said Monday that his roommates took his debit card a week ago and stole about $600 from his account, but he didn't know their names.
Cited: Michael L. Delturco, 22, 114 S. High St., Richmond, was cited for a marked-lanes violation after a two-car crash with no injuries Monday in the 3900 block of Sunset Boulevard.

Drug problem: A Stratton mother said her daughter had "been using narcotics and has been very aggressive toward her" Tuesday. She said she went to her bedroom to get away from her, but the daughter was "trying to beat down the door" and earlier in the day they ended up in "a fist fight on the porch." Deputies said narcotics were in plain view in the residence, but the daughter ran off before they arrived.
Coyote hunt: A caller in the Salineville area reported hearing shots fired as several vehicles drove by Monday. Deputies said they talked with a man who said he'd been there for about 20 minutes, didn't have a gun and allowed them to search his vehicle. The caller told another deputy she spoke to a neighbor who said he'd given some people permission to hunt coyotes on his property, and those were the shots he'd heard.
False alarm: A woman at a residence on State Route 151 reported a breaking and entering while she was in her house Monday. She told deputies she heard footsteps in the house, but when deputies arrived they found both doors locked and the woman was taking shelter in the basement. Deputies searched the home but no one else was inside.
