STEUBENVILLE POLICE
Derelict boat removed: A rusted, abandoned boat with four flat tires was towed Monday from 2426 Cleveland Ave. after the property owner signed a trespass affidavit in Steubenville Municipal Court. Police said the vessel contained no valuables and had no visible VIN.
Man jailed after drug task force search: Kni’Heem K. Saunders, 23, was booked into the county jail on a charge of possession of a defaced firearm after a Jefferson County Drug Task Force search. Police said officers found a handgun with an altered serial number and evidence of drug use. Steubenville police, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the SRT Team assisted.
Domestic dispute investigated: Police responded to a report of a domestic incident in the 300 block of Cedar Ave. Sunday involving allegations of mutual physical contact during an argument over a television. One man reported being grabbed by the neck; witnesses said both parties contributed to the altercation. The complainant showed minor redness and requested charges.
Firearm found in gutter: Employees with Gator Roofing turned in a handgun found Monday in a gutter on Commercial Ave.
Crash sends woman to hospital: A two-vehicle crash at Sunset and Stanton Boulevard Monday resulted in one woman being hospitalized for evaluation. Both drivers claimed to have had a green light, police said.
Dumpster complaint: A woman found going through trash behind a Sunset Boulevard business was asked to leave Monday. She complied and left the property.
Harassment reported: A woman in the 400 block of South Street reported receiving unwanted text messages and was advised to block the sender after police determined no threats were made.
Traffic citation issued: Nathan D. Slussar, 38, Bergholz, was cited for a red light violation following a two-vehicle crash on 4th and Washington streets.
Property damage: A parked 2019 Ram pickup sustained a broken window in the 4400 block of Sunset Boulevard when a rock reportedly kicked up during mowing struck the vehicle.
Code violations issued: Notices were sent for high grass and weeds at multiple properties on Bryden Road, West Adams Street and Lawson Avenue.
Hit-skip reported: A Stanton Homes van was struck overnight Monday while parked in the 600 block of Market Street, causing damage to the sliding door and rear quarter panel.
Speeding citation: Caroline M. Mahoney, 20, Westford, Mass., was cited for speeding in a school zone.

Threats reported in domestic dispute: A Wintersville woman requested assistance Sunday after her ex-boyfriend allegedly threatened to damage her property.
Harassment allegation involving juveniles: An Adena woman reported her daughter was sexually harassed by a sixth grader. The boy’s mother later confronted her at her home, deputies said.
Baby found in vehicle: A Tiltonsville woman reported finding a newborn left inside a vehicle April 13. She attempted to alert residents but received no response for approximately 15 minutes.
Mental health concerns noted in dispute call: Deputies responded to a report of threats made in a residential yard. Others at the scene reported the caller has a history of mental health issues.
Domestic disturbance investigated: Deputies responded to a Bergholz residence where both parties accused each other of physical aggression and property disputes. One resident was advised eviction proceedings would be required due to established residency.
Locked-out dispute: A Mingo Junction woman reported being locked out of her home after her husband allegedly took money and her phone.
Juvenile assault incident: A Dillonvale-area juvenile reportedly struck a parent after being disciplined. No charges were filed.
Blackmail allegation: A Steubenville man reported sending explicit photos to someone he believed was an adult, later learning the recipient claimed to be 15 and was attempting to extort him.
Neighbor dispute: An Amsterdam man reported threats from a neighbor over a property line disagreement and prior utility issues.
Threats and harassment reported: A Wintersville woman reported repeated threats and a confrontation at her home involving an individual she had not recently contacted.
Assault with bat reported: A man in Adena reported being attacked by an intoxicated individual and struck the person with a bat in self-defense. The other individual was hospitalized.
Minor physical altercation: A Richmond woman reported being struck in the stomach during an argument but did not require medical treatment.
Juvenile fight investigated: Deputies responded to a family dispute in which multiple juveniles reported mutual physical altercations, including a chipped tooth.
Domestic violence arrest: Peter J. McKenrick, 43, Mingo Junction, was booked on a domestic violence charge April 19.
Load violation citation: Alpha O. Jallow, Indianapolis, was cited for insecure load after sand was observed blowing from a truck on State Route 7.

Pursuit ends in crash and arrest: Devin K. Dollison, 30, Wellsburg, was charged with multiple offenses including failure to comply, OVI, reckless operation, and traffic violations after a police pursuit ended in a crash on Dallas Road (Township 117).
