Causing problems: A Bergholz resident said a family member was “acting out, yelling at her” and wouldn’t calm down Dec. 26. She was concerned the situation would escalate. Deputies stood by while she spoke with the family member and report she told them the situation never became physical but “she just wanted (them) to talk to him.” Both parties were sent to bed for the night.
Neighbor warned: A Yorkville woman said her neighbor was harassing her about her dog barking when she’s not there, Dec. 26. She said the dog has “separation anxiety” and she’s trying to figure out how best to address it, and told deputies the neighbor is “pounding on her door and yelling (expletives) at her” because of her dog’s barking. The caller said she is fearful. The neighbor said she was “just trying to communicate” with the dogs owner, but deputies noted she was “intoxicated.” The neighbor said she’d already complained to the landlord. Deputies told her there’s nothing else they can do about it and if she continues to cause problems she’ll face charges.
Teen angst: A juvenile reported being threatened by his ex’s friend because they’d had a “bad breakup,” Monday. The youth said he’d received a message from the girl through Discord asserting that he wanted to cause harm followed by a vulgar, derogatory descriptor. Deputies said the girl admitted sending the text and indicated she’d “been thinking about doing it for a while and that day acted.” She was advised there are consequences to threatening others and told to leave the caller alone.
