The Ho-Chunk Nation is moving forward with a massive project in Beloit that is now expected to cost $705 million. This figure comes from recent financial updates regarding the development, which has been in the works for over twenty years. The tribe broke ground on the 73-acre site in late 2024, marking the start of what will be the largest construction effort in the city’s history.

This destination will eventually feature a 240,000-square-foot casino and an 18-story hotel that will redefine the local skyline near the Illinois border.

Construction is being handled in stages. The initial phase focuses on the main gaming floor and a large parking garage, with an expected opening date in September 2026. Once that part is finished, the tribe plans to complete the hotel and a 76,000-square-foot convention center by 2027. Local leaders expect the complex to create roughly 1,500 jobs and provide a steady stream of tax revenue for the region.

While these massive physical buildings continue to rise, the way people participate in gaming is shifting rapidly. Many residents find that online platforms offer a level of convenience and security that traditional venues struggle to match.

This physical presence will support the local economy in ways that digital platforms cannot, specifically through tourism and hospitality spending.
